I would like to be able to redirect sound from the internal spkr to Soundblaster (PCI 128D) or to the game port and also be able to read the game port analog input level. I saw a method for 2-way communication with the game port years ago, but don't recall any of the particulars.

I don't know about the sound - my Soundblaster has a 2wire feed somehow from the internal speaker.
For measuring voltage from the gameport, if you use the STICK function (see the QB help file) you can return a number from 1 to 200 depending on the input voltage from each of the 4 sticks. The input goes to an A/D convertor. I used it once, but cannot remember what the voltages were. You would need to experiment.
As far as I know, the games port is one-way (input only) so I can't see how you can get 2way communication with it.

Well Elias, Ill try to explain.
Re the 'sticks' thing. Fred was asking how he could measure the analogue voltage at the games port.
Eack joystick controls two 'pots', which send voltages to the games port, depending on the x-y position of the joysticks. He wanted a way to to measure those voltages.
The games port is an 'in' only device. You cannot write an output to it - at least, I don't think you can - so you cannot have 2way communication, like you can with the serial port.
