I am using WindowsXP Pro. When I run a Qbasic program all the text in the left of the screen is not fitting onto the screen. What can I do to fix it?

If QB is running in a window, you need to click the title bar and drag it over to the right. If QB is running full-screen, there's little you can do except make it run in a window (by pressing Alt-Enter). It's probably a graphics card issue. You might also be able to change your monitor's display position by pressing its buttons or turning its knobs, if it has them. But this is likely to make things go bad when you switch back to Windows. Perhaps updated graphics card drivers will help, though I wouldn't bet on it. My advice is to get an old computer (off the street, if you can; I got three complete ones plus lots of spare parts that way), make a few hard drive partitions, install DOS on one, Linux on another, maybe something else as well. If you're not afraid of breaking it then you'll do more crazy things and learn more. It's also possible to put Linux on your computer, should that interest you. I can of course offer help with partitioning, installation, and lots of other stuff. One other thing you could do is get DOSBOX, which is slow but has a far better DOS compatibility to NTVDM (the virtual DOS enivornment that Windows provides by default) so will have better sound and graphics support. It's mainly used for running classic DOS games, but can run QB as well.
