Okay. My laptop screen is utterly dead. I've however got the dual screen up so my second monitor is supporting me.
My laptop monitor is jut blinking through a umber of different colors. White! ... Grey... horizontal lines.. black... red... green... so on and so forth. I donno what's wrong with it.

I'd take it to a tech shop, there's something wrong with the hardware (not software, which would be fixable online). If you want to do something before that, just check the wires or whatnot, making sure that they aren't loose (although with a laptop, it is unlikely something that came loose could be fixed by yourself).

Meh. It's not worth saving. I'm planning on getting a new one during summer.

Save the old parts when you do. Never know when you'll find you can still use the RAM or HD (doubtful about rest, as its probably integrated).

Mhm, do remember that things like servers don't need screens. You can run a shell from another computer fairly easily.

I'm going to sell it to my mother to help pay for the new one.
I'm actually thinking about just giving it to her because she'll have to buy a new screen and get it installed and yeah. Spendy.

Yeah, man. I think I smell moral conflicts.
Gimme the stats, man! RAM, Video Card, Hard Drive Space, CPU Speed, and all that fancy crap.

Ever hear of AIDA32? If you can't find it via Google, I can send it to you.
Anyway, AIDA is an old (actually, abandonware) program that scans your comp and kicks out a report listing all the specs to it. The full scan takes about 5 minutes (might be more on a slower comp) and you can attach the report (it will give you the option to make the report in any of some 20 extension types, so it should attach to any e-mail) to an e-mail and send it to someone, or simply copy it and paste it on here (if you so choose).
Fun stuff, and a universal favourite of Protonic.com (all-volunteer IT support site. Used to work there until fired over "creative differences", but that's another story...).
