Quick suggestion.
Be sure it's in ascii text format (if using QuickBasic and not Qbasic)
Open the program in notepad or wordpad and print it.
It could be that you don't have a printer as lpt1 lpt2 or lpt3 but (for example) a usb printer.

Come on, my friend, DOS runs ok with 1MB RAM and a 30 MHz processor.
The only big issue here is the Windows XP. DOS under Windows is emulated, but not perfectly, so a printer that works fine in Windows may not work from DOS programs.
As Buff suggested, you can open your program in Notepad or some other Windows text editor (and apply a font such as Courier if you want a fixed-width font) and then print it from there.
Or you could go to Start->Settings->Printers, right-click your printer, click properties, click the "Ports" tab, and set the printer up on the LPT1 port.
Good luck.

Use the CLS command to clear the screen.
Obviously this should come first, so that anything that was there before is removed, but what you add now will not be erased.
In future, start a new thread for a new question.
