I tried to download QBasic 1.1 but when I try to run the program it gives me this error message:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOW and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.
What am doing wrong?

What you're doing wrong is not being enough of a detective.
If I were you I'd go to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ and have a look at AUTOEXEC.NT (You may have to tell Windows to "Show Files" in your Windows directory. But unless you delete anything or move something (which can usually be undone anyway), there's nothing wrong with that.) Well, hmm, there IS no AUTOEXEC.NT. It's gone missing. No wonder there's a problem.
(I actually don't know what CAUSES this, whether it be virus or cunning Microsoft ploy, but the solution is very simple.)
Usually there's a spare copy of Autoexec.nt under C:\WINDOWS\REPAIR . Go there and copy it to C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 and the problem will go away.
If there isn't you'll have to get a copy from somewhere else. If you still have trouble, then post again and we'll get you one.
