new beginner needs help

I am trying to write a program that will print out all the even numbers greater than zero and less than the ending number. The output should look like this;

Even numbers between 0 and 5 (not including zero)
2
4
There were 2 even numbers from 0 to 5

[step 2]

for i = 1 to 5 step + 2
print i
next i
