I have many QB programs ,I don't know ,can I copy them to VB and use them or I should modify them?(is it possible?)

It would probably be easier (conversion) with the PowerBasic Console Compiler.

The thing about VB is that it interfaces with the user in a completely different way to QB. That being windows that must be created and populated with input boxes and buttons and the like.
Moreover, the program often gets information via OnSomeAction subroutines, and everything needs a big remodelling to get a program to work right.
The bottom line-- if your programs are calculations intensive and have simple input and output (i.e. TEXT), then converting isn't too hard. But if you use graphics or have menus and things, use LOCATE a lot, etc. then conversion will be tedious.

PowerBasic takes BASIC to a higher level, as far as I know, but you must pay for it. The Console compiler compiles for the console (i.e. text-mode rather than GUI)

IS QBASIC AVAILABLE FOR WINDOWS? I AM RUNNING SOME QBASIC PROGRAMS ON WINDOWS XP. BUT AM NOT ABLE TO OUTPUT ON PRINTER. THE SYSTEM DOES NOT SEEM TO UNDERSTAND "LPRINT" PLS HELP
